Wowow, YES!! I could immediately tell the difference between the birth of my first where I didn't take placenta capsules and my second where I did take capsules. A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!! I had the privilege of being introduced to Jasmine in 2009, while I was pregnant with my first child. A client of mine used Jasmine’s doula services and sang her praise. Being a first time mom is exciting and terrifying and I figured it wouldn’t hurt to reach out to Jasmine and understand how she could help guide me through my pregnancy. As soon as we met, there was an instant connection. Jasmine was immediately warm and welcoming and I could see her passion for helping mothers. It was an easy choice to hire Jasmine as my birth doula. Over the next nine months, I got to know Jasmine very well. In the 9 months leading up to my birth I met with Jasmine often. She educated me with all the important ways to have a healthy and viable pregnancy. She recommended books, articles, foods, herbs and many other remedies that both benefited my mind and body. I realized Jasmine’s expertise and knowledge was insurmountable during my labor. I had been in labor for 27 hours and opted for an epidural, which was not part of my original birth plan. Having no experience with the rigors of delivery, my body was having a hard time pushing and left the baby in the birth canal for a long period of time. The doctors urged me to have a c-section. Fortunately, Jasmine spoke up and helped me through the emotions of being told I would have to go in for surgery. She urged the doctors to let me eat a little something and regain my energy and give me one last fighting chance to push the baby out vaginally. Thanks to Jasmine’s confidence and reassurance, I delivered my daughter vaginally and avoided surgery altogether. Without Jasmine, my labor and delivery would have looked very different. I will forever be grateful to Jasmine. I have such a fondness for her, that I invited her back to my second and third deliveries. My three children are now 8, 9 and 12. I’m proud to say I’ve known Jasmine for a decade. She will always be a part of fond memories when I think back to all of my pregnancies. When my children ask me about their births, Jasmine is always a part of the stories I share with them. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts. I highly recommend Jasmine. My story above is a prime example of how passionate, knowledgeable and hard working Jasmine is. She will be an integral part of your birth story. You will not be disappointed with your decision.
